Breaking the Silence: My Journey to Embracing Conservative Values

A New Beginning from My Basement

Hey there, fellow dads. This is Ryan Fields-Spack, writing from my basement office—the same spot where I've wrestled with my thoughts, built my businesses, and now, finally, stepped into the light. If you've followed my channel or stumbled upon this blog, you know I've touched on faith and family before. But today, I'm diving in headfirst. No more half-measures. No more hiding. I'm a staunch conservative, and I'm done being afraid to say it.

The Weight of Fear

For my entire adult life, fear has kept me silent. I was terrified to admit my conservative beliefs. What would my friends on Facebook think? Would they unfriend me, call me names, or worse? What about my work—the businesses I've poured my sweat into? In today's cancel culture, one wrong word could bring it all crashing down. So, I shut up. I kept my opinions buried, voting my conscience in private but staying silent publicly.

When Trump won, a glimmer of hope broke through. Policies shifted—transgender mandates rolled back, and the world started feeling a bit more normal, more grounded in the values I hold dear. It gave me confidence. I began talking more on my channel about God and religion, sharing how faith shapes my life as a husband and father. But I still held back, not fully committing. The fear lingered, whispering that speaking out would cost me everything.

The Turning Point: Charlie Kirk's Sacrifice

This week, everything changed. The tragic events surrounding Charlie Kirk hit me like a thunderbolt. For those who haven't caught the news, Charlie—a fearless voice for conservative principles, morals, virtue, truth, and camaraderie—was targeted in a shocking act of violence. He took a bullet, literally, while standing up for what he believed in. His courage in the face of danger shook me to my core. If Charlie Kirk can risk his life to espouse these values, why should I be afraid to speak from the safety of my basement?

No more. That moment was my wake-up call. I'm resolved to speak openly and boldly—for you, the dads grinding every day to provide, protect, and lead; for my wife, my children, my tribe, and most importantly, for God. We're in this together to improve this world, one family at a time. I'm doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on spreading the message Charlie championed. His legacy isn't ending; it's igniting something bigger in all of us.

Six Pillars for a Stronger Future

This channel, this blog, this movement—it's built on six core pillars that I believe are essential for us as conservative men to thrive and lead. These aren't just talking points; they're the foundation of a life well-lived, inspired by faith, family, and freedom. Let's break them down.

1. God First and Foremost

From now on, I'm leaning into faith harder than ever. God isn't a side note; He's the anchor. In a world increasingly hostile to Christian values, we must put Him front and center. That means daily prayer, studying Scripture, and letting His truth guide our decisions. Charlie Kirk never shied away from proclaiming his faith, even when it drew fire. Neither will I. We'll discuss how the Bible informs our politics and how grace transforms our failures into strength. God is the starting point for everything we do.

2. Being Amazing Husbands

If you've heard Erica Kirk speak about her husband, you know the standard. She described Charlie as a rock—loving, supportive, and fully committed. That's what I'm striving for every day. As conservatives, we believe in traditional marriage: one man, one woman, building a partnership rooted in respect, sacrifice, and loyalty. We'll explore practical ways to love our wives better—date nights to reignite the spark, communication that cuts through the noise, and leading our homes with humility and strength. A strong marriage is the bedrock for raising the next generation.

3. Being Great Fathers

This one's close to my heart. Our kids are watching, absorbing how we live out our values. We need to be guiding lights—teaching them virtue, morality, and the courage to stand firm. No more letting schools or social media raise them with woke ideologies. We'll talk about discipline with love, instilling work ethic, and fostering a love for country and God. Imagine your children growing into principled adults who carry the torch forward. That's the legacy we're building, dads—one that's unapologetically conservative.

4. Building a Tribe

We need a tribe—not just drinking buddies, but a real tribe of men who hold each other accountable. Men who motivate, challenge, and push us to be better. In conservative circles, we know the power of community: iron sharpens iron. Charlie Kirk built networks that amplified voices and fostered change. We'll explore how to find or form these groups—through church, local conservative meetups, or online forums. A tribe that improves our communities, stands against cultural decay, and supports one another through thick and thin.

5. Fitness and Health

If we're going to lead our families and fight for our values, we can't be slobs on the couch, drowning in sugar and excuses. Health is stewardship of the body God gave us. We'll get real about ditching bad habits, building routines with weights, cardio, and clean eating. As conservatives, we reject the victim mentality—take control of your health to be the strong protector your family needs. No more feeling weak or winded; let's build resilience that mirrors the toughness Charlie showed.

6. Finances and Freedom

Capital isn't just money; it's freedom. It's the ability to grow our family trees, give generously, and speak our minds without fear because we're financially secure. We'll cover building side hustles, investing wisely (hello, conservative principles of fiscal responsibility), and creating wealth that serves our communities. Ben Shapiro said we need millions like us to step up. Charlie fought for economic policies that empower families—let's honor that by mastering our finances and using them to advance the cause.

A Call to Action: Light Your Torch

Dads, if you're feeling that stir in your soul—the same one I felt this week—it's time to act. Charlie Kirk's memory demands it. He didn't just talk; he lived it, and now it's on us to carry the flame. You've heard the call: We need millions like you and me to pick up a match and light it. I lit mine long ago but hid it, afraid of the backlash. No longer. Today, I'm turning that match into a torch, even if my following is small. You're here now, so join me. Join us.

How to Get Involved

Start simple: Speak up in your circles about your conservative values—no more silence. Embrace these six pillars in your life. Share this blog, subscribe to my channel, and let's build a community of dads who learn the true, do the good, and love the beautiful. That's what life—and Charlie's legacy—is all about. Connect with like-minded men in the comments, join local groups, or start your own. Together, we'll light torches across this nation, illuminating the path back to morals, virtue, and freedom.
